Wow
I've only had one class so far and I'm already feeling overwhelmed. It's not the actual work (I haven't been assigned anything yet) but its the crowds. The mass amount of people on campus are actually making me nervous. It's a flood of unfamiliar faces that I'm not sure I want to interact with and yet I feel that in order to make it here I have an obligation to. BuffState is big on networking. That was a main topic at orientation. But I don't think I want to interact just yet. We'll see how the rest of the day goes.
I'm about half way through my first break between classes and should probably start scoping out where my next class is.
Everyone was right about the parking here at BuffState. It's horrible! And the drivers aren't much better. Technically I'm parked on campus but it's really across the street in M lot - the farthest lot. Thankfully center campus (the student center) is only a 5-minute-ish walk from any campus limit. Campus seems big but if you think about it, it really isn't so bad. I just have to get find the Student Center and I can get my bearings from there.
My first class of the morning Intro to Theater has over 200 people in it - something like 250 I think the instructor said. For once I don't want to sit in the back. I want something roughly front and center but not really front row haha.
Ok... I'm off to find my next class. I am updating my twitter constantly while here. You can see the updates in that right column over there.
I have more to write so expect another post sometime today.
Till then...
